TxDOT Seeking Input for New Waverly Transportation Study

Pct. 4 Commissioner Brandon Decker hosted an open house this week to seek input to help guide TxDOT’s efforts to improve traffic flow and safety in New Waverly.

The open house gave residents a chance to chat with state and local officials and gather information about the transportation study

The TxDOT Bryan District in partnership with local leadership is conducting a study to better understand the transportation issues within the City of New Waverly, Walker County, Texas. The study will focus on measures to improve safety and traffic flow.

The purpose of the public meeting was to share information about the study and current conditions with the community and to collect feedback about their transportation needs. Residents who were not able to attend are encouraged to review the information from the study and submit comments for inclusion in its summary to be published later in 2024.

All comments must be received on or before Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, to be included in the summary documentation.
